PRESS RELEASE | SYDNEY, NSW (October 9, 2014) — Elvidence , a national forensic technology provider today announced a new secure, web-based eDiscovery offering designed to provide investigators, law firms, small and medium sized businesses (SMBs), with a fast, easy-to-use and cost-effective way to gather and analyse digital evidence.
Elvidence can handle the entire eDiscovery lifecycle from processing and early case assessment through to analysis, review and production. All of this is delivered as a secure, web-based software as a service (SaaS) offering. The applications of this service extend to computer forensic investigation and response to cyber security incidents.
The secure web-based access allows investigators and legal teams to quickly and easily manage the complete investigation or eDiscovery process on a single platform. Information can be shared amongst investigators or teams with no security risk.
Elvidence’s servers are located in a modern data centre in Sydney with access control based on IP addresses, which must be Australia-based. To ensure additional security all communication is encrypted.
The software is able to process almost all forms of unstructured information in any language. It can also handle complex proprietary formats including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, webmail and forensic images.
User organisations will benefit from the inherent simplicity, economies of scale and security that the platform offers. Elvidence handles the collection and processing of the electronic evidence leaving clients to concentrate on the review and analysis. This makes extracting relevant information as easy as conducting a Google search.
Crucially it allows law firms access to the latest technology, even if they don’t have large in-house IT departments. This means they can focus their efforts on the information rather than the means used to process and analyse it.
Andre Ross, Director of Elvidence says, “Offering eDiscovery services on a software-as-a-service model makes advanced technology for analysing and producing evidence available even to smaller firms. We can offer clients a secure, one-stop solution with minimal complexity allowing them to concentrate on their legal skills without worrying about the technology.”
Elvidence eDiscovery gives clients access to court-proven eDiscovery software and advanced textural analytics techniques. These have been field tested by large organisations around the globe across a wide range of different industries.
