This rate card is designed to help our customers to set pricing expectations for our professional services before we deliver the work. Our fees do not include goods and services tax ("GST").
Eligible non-profit organisations may receive a 30% discount off of our professional services. Australian Investigative Journalists may receive our computer forensic services, consultations on information security, privacy and confidentiality issues at discounts of up to 90% over its normal rates.
We attempt to offer the most competitive pricing on the market for our services and remain a profitable computer forensics practice. The reality about computer forensic work is that it requires specialised knowledge and equipment to complete even the simplest computer forensic project. This knowledge and equipment are expensive to acquire and maintain.
Our fees structure includes a retainer fee for both per hour and flat-fee billing. It is an upfront payment that allows a computer forensic expert to start working on your case.
For most of our computer forensic engagements, we use an hourly rate. A typical forensic analysis of a single computer device with a well-defined scope of investigation will typically take 24 - 40 hours of work.
The daily rate is most suitable if you require the services of our computer forensic specialist for a set period. Ideal for Information Security consulting or training engagements.
We also offer flat-fee pricing as the alternative to hourly billing. It allows our customers to know how much their computer forensic services will ultimately cost and help planning their budget. From our experience, the typical forensic analysis of modern computer costs somewhere in the $5,000 to $15,000 range. Multiple hard drives, RAID, encryption and broad scope of investigation usually increase this cost by 30%.
